The Plompe Toren is the last remnant of the village of Koudekerke in Schouwen, which disappeared into the waves at the end of the 16th century. The restored tower is now an information centre about the history, legends and nature of the region. The tours offer a wide view over the surrounding nature reserve, where many waders and other waterfowl can be seen. Natuurmonumenten has set up an information centre in the Plompe Toren. Accessible daily and highly recommended! From the tower you have a beautiful view of the Koudekersche Inlaag and the Oosterschelde.
